Production of basic commodities
You will need raw materials for building and research, for the manufacturing of your spaceships and for the movement of your fleets. You can monitor your stocks on the Economy / Raw material page.
The production of basic commodities is performed on planets and in plasmators.
Plasmators are self-sustaining factories circulating in the cosmos, which are able to produce three types of raw materials from their accumulated reserves: metal, crystal and narion. Non-productive, or inactive plasmators can be brought on line by the owner (“start-up of an plasmator”). You can also decide what type of raw material you wish to produce in your plasmator. This decision is final and cannot be changed later. After its start-up, an plasmator is able to produce one type of raw material only.
As per the decision of the Universe Supervisory Races Imperial Bureau (USRIB) a fee -- payable in metal -- is levied on the start-up of an inactive plasmator, the amount of which will increase in proportion to the number of plasmators owned by the planet. The volume of your basic commodities production will be determined by the number of your plasmators.
If you are a Commander or Military Strategy Minister in your galaxy, you will be entitled to receive a bonus, as mandated by the Universe Supervisory Races Imperial Bureau. This is an additional revenue source for those holding high positions. The bonus increases the total amount of raw materials produced in your plasmators and on your planet by 10%.
